Meet Your Coach

Welcome! My name is Karis Walker. As a proven practitioner with over a decade of experience at all levels of a school system, I bring a wealth of education  & leadership to help drive your growth. 

 

My journey in the field of education began following the completion of my Bachelor degree in Elementary Education at Wheaton College. I taught 3rd grade for five years while completing my Masters in Educational Leadership from Park University. From there, each additional opportunity was motivated by a desire to expand my impact. I served as an Assistant Principal, an Elementary Principal for and finally, as Chief Academic Officer--resulting in nearly a decade of leadership experience. I have also had the opportunity to hone my skills through various programs, including Teach for America, Leading Educators, and KC PLUS.  In addition to experiencing the impact of the ExceleratED process as a principal, I have coached my team in its implementation as a CAO, multiplying our impact. 

 

Seeing the impact of leadership, I launched ExceleratED in 2024 with the purpose of helping to create skilled leaders who innovate, accelerating student outcomes. As a passionate partner  in your journey, I am deeply invested in your success for the sake of KIDS! Together, we can change their trajectory.
